I grew up in Santa Monica, CA. (So Cal Baby!) I have my two sisters and one brother. We grew up in a mid to upper class family. We are Russian, German, & Italian. We were raised Greek Orthodox Russian, and went to church and Russian school every Saturday. Attending all the parties, all dolled up, watching everything you do and say, in fear of judgment and a smack. Wearing he most uncomfortable outfits all dam day, stalking hanging down to my knees and being told to shut up and suffer! I hated every minute of it!!! The world I grew up in was very ego driven. A place where I never really felt at home! I was always scolded for my opinion! I Am So Clear Now On How I Want My Life To Be!! We went to Cotillion starting at age 5. I really love it!! It was a bit prim and proper, but it was fun! And I got to dance! I loved it so much the instructors would often use me as an assistant. At 15, I started dancing on Beverly Hills Ballroom Dance Team. I danced with them for 5 years! It Was fantastic!
When I graduated Malibu High in 1996, I went and did the only thing I really loved to do, that’s Hair! And Make-Up! Dancing was another passion, but unfortunately Dancing doesn’t pay all the bills. Must have a backup plan!! While in school, I was a manager at Carlton Hair in Santa Monica, and did hair on the “DL”. I got my Cosmetology License at 20yrs old and officially open Marina’s Hair Studio! Even though I was rolling long before… I first started doing hair when I was 5 years old. I totally remember!
I first met my husband when I was 17 yrs old. He was such a stunning person! One look at him, and I swear I knew we have met before. We instantly became soulfully inseparable, even though we were apart. We remained friends for 3 years before the inevitable happened!! Why did we take our time?? Tony was going through a divorce and we wanted to do it the right way for us! I moved to Nor California to be with my sexy man in 1999. We lived together a year before getting married Dec 2000!
On January 30, 2006 our lives were changed forever!!! The Wonderful and Healthy man, my husband, Tony Gutsch went into Ventricular Fibrillation Cardiac Arrest. He stopped breathing and was died in 30 seconds. Six minutes later ambulance arrived, five minutes later they revived him. The team would not give up on him and at their last attempt, they revived and saved him. We were told he may not make it through the night, to pray, and to start thinking about making arrangements. He remained in a coma for over two days. They mentioned if he were to come out of the coma, he may be completely paralyzed! (A nurse told me I will probably have to brush his teeth for the rest of his life! That's something that will always be with me!) Horrifying what honesty you get when things are in crisis. Really there is no other way… When he awoke, it was scary! He didn't remember anything! He didn't remember weeks before, he didn't remember the incident, and had really bad short term memory loss. For all that know him, Tony is such a comedian! Even in bad times he makes everyone laugh! He remained in intensive care for over 2 weeks. He had to have minor surgery to have a defibrillator implanted. (A defibrillator is a small amazing little device that is wired into his heart. If his heart stops or doesn't beat properly, it will go into action. It is the size of a pager. Thank goodness, they've come a long way.) It took him nine months totally recover. It took that time for us all to recover. Boy did he recover! He is a new man! He is very active now and his favorite things to be are to be active and Wakeboard! We are all doing Wonderful! Great things really do come out of bad times! Buy the grace of a higher power, Tony was saved!! I just want to thank everyone who is in our lives and supported us in that traumatic time! I really don't know how things would have been without all our wonderful friends! To all our true friends thank you for always being here for us!! We are very thankful for you and all that we have in our beautiful lives!! January 30th is a day to always remember! A Miracle Happened!

Our Blessings and Our Pains In-Or-Ass’s! Jake Anthony Gutsch was born August 4, 2001. He was a wonderful baby and is one of the most amazing humans I have ever met! Not just because he is ours!!! Really!! He is an old soul! He is my savior, my precious heart and soul! My first born! Little miss, Grace Ann Gutsch arrived finally on July 21, 2008. She was such a small little thing with such a powerful energy! Love at first sight once again! My fears of having a daughter were not a fear no more. She has a very Strong personality! But I wonder where that comes from???? She is a social butterfly and is going to be lots of fun! I really need to tap into my child at heart!!
This website and blog is the chronicles of my life!!!!
